Functional Lab Testing
At The Facility, we run several types of specialty lab testing to collect more data to isolate the root cause of chronic symptoms and conditions. Many of the tests will be shipped directly to your house, and include a pre-paid shipping label for return. This allows us to order tests for patients all over the country. Below are some of the common lab tests we use, although more specific advanced testing is available.
DUTCH Hormone Test
(Precision Analytical) - Urine & Saliva
This test is a comprehensive assessment of sex and adrenal hormones and their metabolites. The DUTCH Plus panel looks at the overall diurnal pattern of free cortisol (think: STRESS), and the total and distribution of cortisol metabolites. Beyond hormones, the DUTCH test includes select organic acids for vitamin status (B12), neurotransmitters (dopamine/serotonin), and oxidative stress.

MARCoNs Sinus Culture
(MicrobiologyDx) - Nasal Swab
This test is a nasal culture for Multiple Antibiotic Resistant Coagulase-Negative Staphylococci (MARCoNS) and other bacteria associated with biofilms. The same swab can be cultured for fungi (mold and yeast) with identification. The MARCoNS test is useful for investigating on-going sinus issues.
