Looking for ways to increase your protein intake; but can't stomach another boring protein shake or smoothie? I got you. Here are my favorite ways to use my favorite clean protein powder Equip Beef Protein Isolate beyond the blender!

Why I love Equip Prime Protein (and recommend it for most patients):

No additives, allergens, chemicals, fillers, or other junk. The shortest ingredient list in the supplement industry. This is a legit clean protein powder.

Prime Protein Unflavored has just ONE ingredient: Non-GMO grass-fed beef isolate. The other (delicious!) flavors (Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, Salted Caramel, Cinnamon Roll and Peanut Butter) each have a max of 5 whole food, high quality ingredients.

✅ 100% Grass-fed

✅ Independently AND Third-Party tested

✅ No Chemical Processing

✅ Easier to Digest (No Whey!)- No soy, dairy, egg

✅ Complete Amino Acid Profile

>> Each scoop has the same nutrient profile of 4oz of steak!

I recommend this protein for most patients because I'm confident in the ingredient list (low allergen) and it is extremely well tolerated! It doesn't carry the "well, this should work, but..." caveat. I consider this a protein product that's about as close to REAL FOOD as you can get!

Equip Prime Protein Beef Isolate Dairy-Free Protein Powder

Grass-Fed is the new Whey. Why beef over whey, pea, or other plant-based protein powders?

Beef protein is packed with the collagen, gelatin, and micro-nutrients your body needs… They work to repair your joints and soft tissues like plant protein won’t. Studies have shown that beef protein provides additional benefits to strength, hypertrophy, and fat loss over whey. [Say whaaat?]

What you get in every scoop of Prime Protein, guaranteed:

  • Grass-fed beef isolate protein providing complete protein.

  • Collagen and gelatin, which repairs your joints and soft tissues like plant protein won’t.

  • No added chemicals, fillers, binding agents or artificial coloring or sweeteners.

  • Beef protein that’s made the same way that bone broth is made: low and slow heating to preserve the nutrition. No chemical processing.

  • Surprisingly versatile, 1-5 ingredients in each flavor. Endless possibilities.

  • Tastes like dessert, not beef.

Now, let's get into the "meat" of this post, eh?! ... I want to share some creative ideas to use Equip Prime Protein so you can easily hit your daily protein goals!

8 Non-Protein Shake Recipes with Equip Prime Protein (That aren't boring!)

Blended Cottage Cheese Ice Cream Bowl

Ingredients:

1 cup cottage cheese [Good Culture is always my go-to]

1 scoop Equip Prime Protein (any flavor!)

1-2 Tbsp milk

Instructions:

Add ingredients to a high-powered blender or food processor until creamy and whipped. Gradually add milk to desired consistency. Pop it in the freezer for 1-2 hours for a thick gelato-esque treat!

Make it your own:

Add optional mix-ins to create a wide variety of flavor profiles. Here are some of my faves:

-Strawberry Prime Protein with Diced Fresh Strawberries and Graham Cracker Crumbs

-Salted Caramel Prime Protein with Coconut Flakes

-Peanut Butter Prime Protein with Chocolate Chips and Drizzled Peanut Butter

Using the Ninja Creami: Add ingredients to pint container and give it a general mix. Freeze 24 hours. Select the 'light ice cream' button for the first cycle and respin as needed. Add mix ins using the "mix in" cycle.

High-Protein Chickpea Cookie Dough

Base Ingredients:

1 can garbanzo beans (rinsed and drained) *if sensitive to chickpeas, you can use white beans instead!

2 scoops Equip Prime Protein (any flavor- Vanilla, Salted Caramel, or Peanut Butter are my choices)

1/4 cup nut butter of choice (I typically choose Cashew Butter here)

1/4 cup Maple Syrup or Honey

Pinch of Salt

Optional Mix-ins:

Literally anything that you like in your cookie dough. Do I need to list that out?

Instructions:

Add all ingredients to a food processor and blend until smooth. Stir in mix-ins of choice (it'll be a thicker cookie-dough like consistency). Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. This recipe makes anywhere from 1 to 10 servings depending on your personal definition of "serving".

Salted Caramel "Latte"

Ingredients:

(Optional) 1/2 scoop Equip Collagen Vanilla

4 ounces Hot Water

4-6 ounces Steamed Milk or Non-Dairy Milk of Choice

(Optional Upgrade): 1-2 Shots of Espresso

Instructions:

Mix together protein powder, collagen powder, and 2-3 ounces of hot water into a "slurry". (This step helps with smooth texture)! Add the remaining hot water and mix again, a handheld frother comes in handy here! Top with steamed milk of choice. Fancy milk art not required.

Make it a hot chocolate: Occasionally I'll make it a salty chocolate-y treat by using Equip Prime Protein Chocolate and adding 1/2 pack of LMNT Chocolate Salt! 😋

Overnight Non-Dairy Yogurt Mousse

Ingredients:

1 serving non-dairy yogurt of choice [I prefer Forager in this one!]

1 scoop Equip Prime Protein (any flavor!)

1-2 Tbsp seeds of choice [Chia seeds and hemp seeds work well]

Instructions: Stir together ingredients in a single-serving bowl. Refrigerate overnight (this is what gives it the magical mousse-texture). Enjoy in the AM and add additional toppings as desired.

Variations: Similar to the Cottage Cheese Ice Cream, you can take this so many directions! A few of my go-tos are Strawberry Prime Protein with Fresh Strawberries, Peanut Butter Prime Protein with Chopped Mixed Nuts, and Chocolate Prime Protein with Coconut Flakes.

Anytime I can feel like I'm having dessert for breakfast is a WIN in my book.

Super Simple Peanut Butter Cups

Filling Ingredients:

Peanut Butter (or any nut butter of choice. Cashew Butter slaps!)

Equip Prime Protein (my go-to is Salted Caramel; but Peanut Butter is an obvious choice too!)

(optional) Maple Syrup or Honey

Topping:

Chopped Dark Chocolate (or Chocolate Chips)

Coconut Oil

There are no amounts listed above because this is something I "wing". Sometimes I'll make a big batch and freeze them, but more often I'm making 1-3 at a time and enjoying them before they've even fully set.

Instructions: SO, Mix together the filling ingredients to desired consistency. I find that I don't need the added sweetness from Maple Syrup or Honey. My starting ratio is 2 Tablespoons of nut butter to 1 scoop of Prime Protein. Pat that down into silicone muffin cups or honestly any vessel (you could make bars!). Put it in the freezer while preparing the chocolate topping. For the topping, melt down your chocolate of choice and add a small amount of coconut oil to give it a smoother pourable texture. Drizzle it over the prepared nut butter mixture and pop it back in the freezer to set. It will set VERY quickly, but you can also make them in advance and store them in the freezer for a nice sweet bite anytime you get a craving!

Bonus Ideas: Oats Bowls! Date "Snickers"! Allllllll the "creamis"!

There are so many more uses for Equip Prime Protein that aren't just a protein shake. Don't get me wrong, I'll use it in a shake anytime I just need a quick grab to fill my protein tank. But, my philosophy is the key to not getting bored is keeping things creative. Here are some other recipes where you can substitute in Beef Protein Isolate for any other protein powder recommendation ...
